Vitaminet har dock flera funktioner i v\u00e5r kropp, och det verkar vara viktigt f\u00f6r v\u00e5rt immunf\u00f6rsvar. Flera meta-analyser har ocks\u00e5 utf\u00f6rts (3). I en meta-analys bearbetar man resultatet fr\u00e5n flera experiment f\u00f6r att kunna dra en s\u00e4krare slutsats. Resultatet fr\u00e5n dessa har dock varierat. I vissa har man sett att <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refitness.se\/butiken\/vitaminer\/vitamin-d\/\">D-vitamintillskott<\/a> minskar risken f\u00f6r luftv\u00e4gsinfektioner (4 &amp; 5), medan andra inte funnit detta samband (6, 7 &amp; 8).\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>P\u00e5 grund av tvetydigheten i den nuvarande forskningen utf\u00f6rde en forskargrupp \u00e5r 2017 en ny meta-analys (3). Deras m\u00e5l var att g\u00f6ra en mer utf\u00f6rlig genomg\u00e5ng av den existerande forskningen, genom att ta b\u00e4ttre h\u00e4nsyn till alla de skillnader som finns i studiedesign p\u00e5 omr\u00e5det. Dock spelar dosering och personens utg\u00e5ngsv\u00e4rde roll f\u00f6r effektens storlek.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Personer med l\u00e5ga vitamin D niv\u00e5er fick st\u00f6rst effekt av tillskott. Det visade sig ocks\u00e5 att dosering spelar roll. Stora m\u00e4ngder vitamin D vid n\u00e5gra f\u00e5 tillf\u00e4llen minskade inte risken f\u00f6r \u00f6vre luftv\u00e4gsinfektioner. Utan den skyddande effekten uppstod enbart ifall vitamin D intogs dagligen eller veckovis.
