hormon som s\u00e4ger \u00e5t dina muskelceller att v\u00e4xa, och dina fettceller att krympa. Om m\u00e5let \u00e4r mer muskelmassa och mindre fett \u00e4r det v\u00e4rdefullt att f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka fr\u00e4mja h\u00f6ga testosteronniv\u00e5er.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Testosteron \u00e4r mest k\u00e4nt som hormonet som driver p\u00e5 utvecklingen av s\u00e5v\u00e4l den manliga kroppen som hj\u00e4rnan (1). Det f\u00e5r ocks\u00e5 mycket uppm\u00e4rksamhet n\u00e4r det kommer till kopplingen mellan v\u00e5r biologi och ett aggressivt beteendem\u00f6nster. Testosteron \u00e4r dock ett hormon med stor inverkan p\u00e5 v\u00e5r kroppssammans\u00e4ttning. H\u00f6ga niv\u00e5er av testosteron s\u00e4ger \u00e5t v\u00e5ra muskelceller att v\u00e4xa, medan v\u00e5ra fettceller ombeds krympa (2).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-testosterons-verkan-pa-celler\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Testosterons_verkan_pa_celler\"><\/span>Testosterons verkan p\u00e5 celler<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Hormonet testosteron verkar genom att f\u00e4rdas i blodcirkulationen och p\u00e5verkar de celler som har en receptor som hormonet kan binda till. D\u00e4rmed kan hormoner ses som b\u00e5tar som leder till f\u00f6r\u00e4ndring f\u00f6rst n\u00e4r de lagt till i cellernas hamnar. B\u00e5de fettceller och muskelceller har receptorer f\u00f6r testosteron, och kan d\u00e4rmed p\u00e5verkas av dess effekter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-testosteronbrist-och-fetma\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Testosteronbrist_och_fetma\"><\/span>Testosteronbrist och fetma<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u00e5ga testosteronniv\u00e5er h\u00e4nger ofta samman med fetma (3 &amp; 4). Sambandet verkar finnas oberoende av \u00e5lder (5). Om m\u00e4n kommer under en viss testosteronniv\u00e5 kallas det f\u00f6r hypogonadism, vilket ofta h\u00e4nger ihop med fetma (6).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-dubbelriktat-samband-mellan-testosteron-och-overvikt\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dubbelriktat_samband_mellan_testosteron_och_overvikt\"><\/span>Dubbelriktat samband mellan testosteron och \u00f6vervikt<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Det verkar dock inte enbart som att l\u00e5ga testosteronniv\u00e5er leder till \u00f6kat risk f\u00f6r \u00f6vervikt hos m\u00e4n, utan mycket fett verkar ocks\u00e5 leda till mindre testosteron. Detta skulle inneb\u00e4ra att det r\u00f6r sig om ett dubbelriktat samband d\u00e4r tv\u00e5 faktorer b\u00e5da har f\u00f6rm\u00e5gan att p\u00e5verka varandra. Detta st\u00e4rks av en meta-analys d\u00e4r det visade sig att oberoende av vilken metod som anv\u00e4ndes f\u00f6r <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refitness.se\/blog\/kost\/kalorier-och-vikt-guide-till-kaloriintag\/\">viktnedg\u00e5ng <\/a>s\u00e5 \u00f6kade testosteronniv\u00e5erna (7). Detta f\u00f6rklaras delvis av att fettceller inneh\u00e5ller ett enzym vid namn aromatas som omvandlar testosteron till \u00f6stradiol, ett kvinnligt k\u00f6nshormon. Det verkar kunna s\u00e4tta ig\u00e5ng en negativ spiral d\u00e5 h\u00f6gre niv\u00e5er av \u00f6stradiol i blodcirkulationen signalerar till hypotalamus att minska p\u00e5 utsl\u00e4ppen av ett hormon vid namn GnRH som leder till att testiklarna sl\u00e4pper ifr\u00e5n sig testosteron (2).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fettvavens-inverkan-pa-testosteronutsondring\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fettvavens_inverkan_pa_testosteronutsondring\"><\/span>Fettv\u00e4vens inverkan p\u00e5 testosteronuts\u00f6ndring<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Fettv\u00e4ven verkar ocks\u00e5 ha m\u00f6jlighet att motverka testosteronuts\u00f6ndring genom att \u00f6ka den systemiska inflammationen i kroppen. Fettceller har n\u00e4mligen m\u00f6jlighet att sl\u00e4ppa ut s\u00e5 kallade pro-inflammatoriska signal\u00e4mnen, tv\u00e5 av dessa IL-6 och TNF-alfa, kan vid h\u00f6ga niv\u00e5er motverka uts\u00f6ndring av GnRH, hormonet som s\u00e4ger \u00e5t testiklarna att sl\u00e4ppa ut testosteron i blodet (2).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Leptin_och_testosteron\"><\/span>Leptin och testosteron<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>V\u00e5ra fettceller har dock annat f\u00f6r sig \u00e4n att be om mindre testosteron, utan ber ibland om motsatsen. V\u00e5r fettv\u00e4v uts\u00f6ndrar ocks\u00e5 ett hormon vid namn leptin som under normala f\u00f6rh\u00e5llanden ist\u00e4llet \u00f6kar uts\u00f6ndringen av GnRH hormonet, vilket d\u00e5 leder till att testiklarna \u00f6kar testosteron utsl\u00e4ppet i blodbanan (2). Detta verkar f\u00f6r\u00e4ndras vid \u00f6vervikt, d\u00e5 mer fettv\u00e4v sl\u00e4pper ut mer av leptin. Med tiden \u00f6kar detta risken f\u00f6r att de nervceller som sl\u00e4pper ut GnRH ska bli ok\u00e4nsliga f\u00f6r leptinet (8). Det verkar som att GnRH har slagit d\u00f6v\u00f6rat till leptinet, varp\u00e5 testosteronet v\u00e5r finna sig i att ligga kvar i testiklarna.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Prostatacancer_och_testosteron\"><\/span>Prostatacancer och testosteron<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Forskning p\u00e5 m\u00e4n med prostatacancer ger ocks\u00e5 ledtr\u00e5dar om relationen mellan testosteron och kroppssammans\u00e4ttning. I dessa behandlingar g\u00f6r man s\u00e5 att testosteronniv\u00e5erna sjunker, detta r\u00e4ddar i m\u00e5nga fall liv men har ocks\u00e5 visat sig h\u00e4nga samman med mer fett och mindre muskler (9).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fettets_inverkan_pa_testosteronnivaer\"><\/span>Fettets inverkan p\u00e5 testosteronniv\u00e5er<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sambandet mellan testosteron och fett \u00e4r ingen isolerad f\u00f6reteelse utan p\u00e5verkas sannolikt av en myriad processer. En viktig faktor \u00e4r typen av fett, d\u00e4r det viscerala fettet kring v\u00e5ra inre organ \u00e4r det som verkar minska testosteronniv\u00e5erna mest (10). Detta s\u00e5gs ocks\u00e5 i en studie d\u00e4r forskarna f\u00f6ljde m\u00e4n under sju och ett halvt \u00e5r, d\u00e4r h\u00e4ngde l\u00e5ga testosteronniv\u00e5er ihop med mycket visceralt fett, men inte underhudsfett (11).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fettcellers_aktivitet_vid_laga_testosteronnivaer\"><\/span>Fettcellers aktivitet vid l\u00e5ga testosteronniv\u00e5er<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Fettcellerna verkar f\u00e5 ett friare spelrum att v\u00e4xa n\u00e4r testosteronniv\u00e5erna sjunker. Exempelvis har man sett \u00f6kad aktivitet i acetyl-CoA syntes som, ett enzym som arbetar med att f\u00f6ra in fetter fr\u00e5n blodet till fettcellerna (12). Lipoproteinlipas \u00e4r ett annat enzym med liknande uppgift som ocks\u00e5 arbetar h\u00e5rdare n\u00e4r testosteronniv\u00e5erna \u00e4r l\u00e5ga, \u00e5tminstone hos r\u00e5ttor (13). \u00c4ldre m\u00e4n verkar i detta avseende ha vissa likheter med r\u00e5ttor, d\u00e5 forskare s\u00e5g att l\u00e5ga testosteronniv\u00e5er h\u00e4ngde samman med h\u00f6gre lipoproteinlipas aktivitet i det viscerala bukfettet (14). I ett annat fall s\u00e5g man att lipoproteinlipasaktiviteten sj\u00f6nk under en sex veckors period d\u00e4r m\u00e4n genomgick testosteronterapi (15), en medicinsk behandling f\u00f6r att h\u00f6ja niv\u00e5erna av testosteron. Liknande resultat s\u00e5gs i en studie d\u00e4r m\u00e4n som under nio m\u00e5nader genomg\u00e5tt testosteronterapi hade l\u00e4gre aktivitet i lipoproteinlipas, och till f\u00f6ljd av de l\u00e4gre fettintag till fettcellerna (16).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Noradrenalin_och_testosteron\"><\/span>Noradrenalin och testosteron<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Noradrenalin \u00e4r ett annat hormon som g\u00f6r att fettceller sl\u00e4pper ifr\u00e5n sig fettsyror. Denna effekt st\u00e4rks av h\u00f6ga testosteronniv\u00e5er, d\u00e5 det leder till att m\u00e4ngden noradrenalin receptorer p\u00e5 fettcellerna \u00f6kar (17). D\u00e4rmed kommer h\u00f6ga testosteronniv\u00e5er g\u00f6ra fettcellerna mer lyh\u00f6rda f\u00f6r noradrenalinet, och tv\u00e4rtom.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sammanfattning_och_framtida_forskning\"><\/span>Sammanfattning och framtida forskning<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sammanfattningsvis tycker jag testosteron \u00e4r ett v\u00e4ldigt sp\u00e4nnande hormon n\u00e4r det kommer till <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refitness.se\/blog\/kost\/effektiv-viktminskning-kost-traning\/\">viktnedg\u00e5ng<\/a> och <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refitness.se\/blog\/kost\/ata-notter-for-viktreglering-och-halsa\/\">viktreglering<\/a> f\u00f6r m\u00e4n. Det finns mycket forskning som visar att h\u00f6ga testosteronniv\u00e5er motverkar fettinlagring, och tv\u00e4rt om att \u00f6kad m\u00e4ngd kroppsfett motverkar testosteronniv\u00e5erna. Det \u00e4r dock alltid sv\u00e5rt att veta hur mycket man ska bry sig om detta n\u00e4r m\u00e5let \u00e4r <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refitness.se\/blog\/kost\/viktnedgang-utan-stress\/\">viktnedg\u00e5ng<\/a>. <br><br>Finns det saker vi kan g\u00f6ra som leder till h\u00f6gre testosteron niv\u00e5er, och kommer detta leda till \u00f6kad fettf\u00f6rbr\u00e4nning? Personligen tror jag svaret \u00e4r ja. De studier d\u00e4r m\u00e4n genomg\u00e5r testosteronterapi verkar resultatet n\u00e4stan alltid bli mindre fett, mer muskler och b\u00e4ttre metabol profil i stort, exempelvis b\u00e4ttre f\u00f6rm\u00e5ga att ta upp blodsocker. <br><br>Dessa studier utf\u00f6rs n\u00e4stan alltid p\u00e5 m\u00e4n med v\u00e4ldigt l\u00e5ga testosteronniv\u00e5er och testosteronet tillf\u00f6rs p\u00e5 artificiell v\u00e4g. Den avslutande fr\u00e5gan jag st\u00e4ller mig \u00e4r ifall m\u00e4n med normala testosteronniv\u00e5er som vill g\u00e5 ned i vikt skulle ha nytta av mer testosteron. Det vi kan g\u00f6ra f\u00f6r att \u00f6ka v\u00e5rt testosteron p\u00e5 naturlig v\u00e4g har ofta en rad positiva h\u00e4lsoeffekter.
